One of the pioneers of the agro tourism in Indonesia is Kalikatak Plantation. I is located on slope of Mt. Merapi where lien crater lies, about 15 km to the west of Banyuwangi. The plantation cover an area of one thousand Ha. It is managed privately and the commodities plant are coffee, cocoa, rubber, dove, and spices.

Besides enjoying the plantation itself, you can enjoy the process in field of planting, harvesting in the factories and packing. The other place for agro tourism especially for plantation tour are margo utomo kalibaru.

Watu Dodol coastal

This tourism object is located at the village of Ketapang Kalipuro District, Banyuwangi Regency. Watu dodol beach is a tourism object with beautiful scenic view which is the combination of mountain and Seal Beach of Bali strait. Visited by many youth of teenagers. In this location there is footstep available for hiking along 3 km with facilities such as gazebo to be used for taking a rest. The area is well known as Watu dodol due to the existence of big rock separating roads with 8 m height and the diameter of down port is smaller than that of top part. This rock is the special identity of Watudodol tourism object.

Watudodol tourism object is located about 14 km toward north of Banyuwangi city about 5 km from the port of Ketapang. In the location of Watudodol beach, there will be constructed an electrical network tower of Java island and Bali island.

Rowo Bayu tourism object

Rowo Bayu is a wide pond. It is a special pond. So, it is very good for family recreation. Rowo Bayu located at the Kawasan Hutan Petak 8, Forest Resort of Songgon, a part of Kesatuan Pemangku Hutan Rogojampi, KPH of west Banyuwangi. Adminisratively, this area is in the village of Bayu.

You can go there by various vehicles. It takes one and half hour from Banyuwangi. I have ever gone there once, but I fell very happy because we can enjoy about many trees and fresh air. But the road not very good but it will be amazing if we use bike.

Grajakan beach

One of the Banyuwangi beaches that show the combination of rolling ocean waves on one side and the dense forest on the other one. In this place we will be able to see the beautiful panorama of the Grajakan fishing village. Located at about 35 km from Banyuwangi, here we can find cave, which were restricted by Japanese soldiers.

If you want to stay, there are also available cottage, café and playing ground are for children. The wave can we use surfing. we will be attractive with white sand, big wave and many facilities on it.

Alas Purwo National Park

Alas Purwo National Park and wildlife reserve, 42,000 hectares of low land tropical rainforest, is located on the south eastern tip of Banyuwangi on what was formerly known as the Blambangan Peninsula. The second largest National Park in Banyuwangi and protected by Ministerial decree as conservation area, plays host to some 420 species of plants, 236 species of birds, 4 of the 6 turtle species (Green, Leatherback, Hawksbill, and Olive Ridley) and a wide variety of other fauna such as the Wild Buffalo, Leopard, Barking Deer, Silverleaf Monkey, Long Tailed Macaque, Peacock, and Jungle Fowl. In the areas of Sadengan and Ngagelan, observation towers have been strategically placed for visitors to be able to view the natural feeding grounds of its residents. Ngagelan is also the nesting placed for and hatchery for baby turtles. Largely flat, Alas Purwo is dominated by bamboo forest (40%) co-existing with plantations of teak, mangrove forest and coastal forest, all surrounded by mile of sandy coastline.

Offering one on the finest surfing sites, Plengkung fascinates with its breathtaking scenery and natural beauty. Located about 88 am southern of Banyuwangi, it present the famous rolling ocean wave, 20 feet in high 2 miles in length and 5 minutes break in interval, a really paradise for the surfers. Teluk Hijau

Teluk Hijau is located in the village of Sarongan Pesanggaran District, Banyuwangi Regency. The topography is relatively flat consisting of black colored sand.

In this area, Teluk Hijau coast is used by fisherman to land the sea fish. Therefore the coast of the area may be developed to be seafood restaurant zone. Road infrastructures available are hard road form Pesanggaran to Sarongan.

One of the sources in the world is the tourism object; we know it can produce unlimited result, you can discover interesting, amazing, attractive, and the others.

Ok, I will introduce you about TRIANGLE DAIMOND, it consist of three tourism objects. We know about beach and crater, they can make you enjoy.
Well, I will explain you about them
First, G-land or Plengkung beach, to domestic tourists call Plengkung beach because the wave is very high and abroad tourists call G-land because the land of wave is like G letter. G-land is located in the south part of Banyuwangi city and has limited condition and facilities to reach there.
The tourism object available there is a surfing an International level. The typical sea waves are called better than Bali Island because the wave is big and the coast is wide. It is amazing, isn’t it? Reaching Plengkung tourism area is actually not difficult. The distance of Plengkung beach from the city of Banyuwangi is 87 km. The public transportation of four wheel car is generally stopped at the village of Benculuk or the city of Muncar. Then, carter system can be done. From Banyuwangi to the village of Tranggulesi is about 74 km with 2,5 hours traffic and the road and the road condition relatively good. Finally, to reach Plengkung location of surfing, visitors have to walk for 12 km within 3 hours. Other alternative to reach this location is by using speed boats from the city Grajakan or using jet oil/from Benoa Denpasar. It is noted that natural wave and weather condition affect the time of sailing. The best time to go there is in the months of April to October. For tourist who drives their own car, it is informed that the last gasoline/petrol station is available in Muncar and the last information office is in Alas Purwo National Park in the village of Pasar Anyar.

Second, the Natural strict nature reserve of Ijen crater / Merapi Ungup-ungup is determined under the decree of Dutch Governor General Decision. As a strict nature reserve and tourism park area, Ijen crater is managed by Alaspurwo National park, situated about 38 km-west of Banyuwangi. Ijen crater is located 3 km from Paltuding as the entrance gate. During the tour visitors can enjoy seeing beautiful scenery, fresh and cold air, some birds and the spread out of edelweiss and Fasinium plants.
Sulfur formation is begun with sulfur content within the earth. Its steam goes up through the canals on the ground and stiff on the crater lip. This prom has been used by sulfur using pipes which are put on the edge of sulfur canals. At last, liquid sulfur flows out through the pipes. They made a receiving station on the tip of pipes, so they can mine the frozen sulfur. In the top of Merapi the merchant load sulfur from Kaldera. The deep of crater is 100 m, and they bring without modern tool just use simple tool. One kg of sulfur costs Rp 600; 00 but they are hard worker, although the price is very cheap their spirit is very big. That’s very great?
Ijen crater has the ecosystem of sub alpine forest the dominant plants which can be found at the mountain slope like casuarinas tree (Casuarina junghuniana), Jamuju (Podokarpus ibricata), Pasang (Lithokarpus sp) etc.
Fasinium (Vasinium tafingiafolid) and Edelweiss flower (Anaphatis javanica) can be seen at the top crater. There are several species of wild animal lives in this strict nature reserve such as deer (Cervus timorensis), leopard (Phanthere narritis), porcupine (Hystric brachyura), etc.
Third, Sukomade is located in the area of Natural Conservation Park of Meru Betiri in the district of Banyuwangi. White sand coast is an interesting object in the coast of Sukomade, where the sea water is still clean and the natural forest consist of varieties of plantation. Besides that, a very unique thing in the coast of Sukomade is the place where sea turtles lay eggs. The turtles laying eggs are usually occurred at night especially at full moon, in the months of October to April.
There are accommodation facilities: Road infrastructure from Pesanggaran to Sarongan has been hardened by asphalt, but some part of road is destructed. The distance between Pesanggaran to Sarongan is about 30 km. Road to link between Sarongan Sukomade is rocky with about 3 m width and having 12 km distance : passing the nature reserves of Meru Betiri.
